The First Community Foundation appreciates all gifts. Donors are recognized (by name, not amount of gift) in a listing in firstnews, the monthly newspaper of First Community Church. At the time of your gift, you may request to be anonymous. If your gift was in honor or memory of someone, that will be included in the listing.
The person you are honoring or the family of the deceased will be notified that a gift (no mention of amount) was made, assuming you include contact information for them with your check.
The Heritage Society recognizes on the plaques at the Foundation Centers at both campuses, the names of those who were founders and early donors to the Foundation through 2015.
In 2016, our recognition societies were updated to allow us to show appreciation for donors in the years to come. They receive invitations to special events such as the annual Foundation Appreciation Luncheon and receive communications from the Foundation to keep them informed. Their names are listed in the program at the luncheon and special recognition is given to Lifetime Members.
The Heritage Society Sustaining Members are recognized for an annual gift of $2,500 or more.
The Heritage Society Lifetime Members are honored for cumulative gifts of $25,000 or more.
Gifts are often cash, appreciated securities and memorial and tribute gifts.
