First Community Foundation values gifts of all sizes and types. Whether immediate or planned, a Foundation investment serves those in need locally and across the globe. Your generous donation will fulfill God’s grace and your call to make a difference now and in the future of the church’s ministries and missions. 

An Immediate Gift
Designate a Person or Family
You can personalize the gift by honoring a person or family. You may donate in memory, honor or celebration and the Foundation will notify the person or family.

A Meaningful Destination
You can also personalize the church impact by giving to an existing First Community Foundation fund. There are dozens of these that support specific missions or programs (Akita, Missions, Heart to Heart, Worship and Arts, Education, Library, Facilities, etc.). Consider contributing to one or more of these impact areas. Unrestricted gifts help fund maintenance or other emergency needs of the church. If there is no fund designation, the gift will be placed in the Roy A. Burkhart Memorial Fund, established for general purposes.

A Planned Gift
If you are considering a planned gift to impact the future of the church, please visit our Gift Planning site and consult your attorney or financial advisor regarding your personal financial situation and goals. Based on your wishes and financial means, you’ll learn how to maximize the many benefits of planned giving.

Suggest a Gift from Others
When the time comes to write an obituary, consider requesting a donation to First Community Foundation. It offers friends and family a way to express their feelings and strengthens the missions of our church.
